Tournaments
For
Select soccer, Under-10 teams usually
participate in jamborees, while the
older teams compete in tournaments. Most
Select teams will compete in a seeding
tournament in late July to determine
ranking for the regular season schedule.
In addition, each team will apply for
tournaments that they wish to attend.
Many teams participate in tournaments
during the month of August, and during
regular season breaks the final weekends
of September and October. Post season
play may include a district tournament
(District Cup) and/or a Northern CA
tournament (Association Cup or State
Cup).

August Blast Off (HABO)
Eureka
Select Soccer hosts
Hot August Blast Off
in August. This is our
club’s tournament for Under-12 through
Under-19 teams. Each Eureka Select team
will provide volunteers to organize and
support the tournament. In addition,
Eureka will host a jamboree for Under-10
players called the Ghost and Ghouls
Jamboree in October.

Guest Player Policy
Some tournaments allow for guest
players, although each tournament will
specify if and how many guest players
are allowed. CHECK INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT
GUIDELINES FOR GUEST PLAYERS.
CYSA requires teams to apply for
District approval to attend tournaments:
