MISSION STATEMENT

The Eureka Youth Soccer Club is dedicated to our youth and setting an atmosphere where through the soccer experience we help young people learn “life lessons” and positive character traits that will help them be successful throughout their lives. We will create an environment where all children look forward to practices and games as times when they will have fun and where the joy they find in playing and being physically active will last a lifetime.

Welcome to Eureka Youth Soccer Club

Dear Club Members and Guests:

First, thank you for a great 2009 season! The Eureka Youth Soccer Club (EYSC) is proud to have provided the “EYSC Soccer Experience” to 1737 players, 124 coaches, 132 assistant coaches, 69 team sponsors, 81 referees, and those countless family members on the sidelines. With a history dating back to 1980, EYSC has grown to become a premier choice for youth soccer in Western Placer County. Many in the Club today started at the age of 5 and have grown to continue loving the game as an adult. Some of our players have gone on to win an EYSC sponsored scholarship and we even have Coaches, once EYSC youth players themselves, return to coach their own children.

This year, we are again extremely excited about the direction of our Club and the future ahead of us. When we continue to offer our members the quality coaches, referees, volunteer leadership, fields and sponsors, we deliver a club experience that sets the bar high for youth soccer. From our Club sponsored training sessions for players, coaches, and referees to our commitment to our community, EYSC is the Club destination to experience the game.

We continue to offer the opportunity to play soccer at the Recreational and the newly redefined Select/Competitive level within the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA). Please look for more information at www.eysc.com regarding the new Cal Soccer League as it becomes available. While a continued goal of EYSC is to offer players the opportunity to play at a level of play that matches their drive, skill, and commitment to the game, some may be looking at a Strictly Competitive Club as an alternative. For those of you, I encourage you to visit our website or participate as a volunteer to learn more about our Club and connect with those directly involved prior to making that decision. Ultimately, your Club decision needs to be a good fit for your child, your family, your finances, and the overall sporting experience that you desire. We are confident in the program we offer and the experience you will have with the Club.

EYSC prides itself on offering youth soccer and providing the opportunity for players to advance their skill, respect, and love for the game to the level that is best for them. True to our mission, we are dedicated to our youth and setting an atmosphere where through the soccer experience we help young people learn “life lessons” and positive character traits that will help them become successful throughout their lives. Do you have ideas on how to improve the Club? Do you want to contribute to Soccer for our youth? Consider volunteering to our many committees and events.

On behalf of EYSC, I look forward to your involvement in our premier organization as a player, referee, family supporter, Club sponsor or volunteer. As Michael Baumbach, the EYSC past President continually emphasized, “It is all about the kids playing soccer”.

To a great 2010 season, welcome!
